We were graced with the presence of Olivia Chaney and her beautiful, enchanting voice at the private view of Travelling Light, WW Gallery, London. She wowed the crowd and if you missed it, you missed out. Here's a sample, but you must see her live: she'll stop you dead in your tracks! Find out where she will be performing next and hear more at www.myspace.com/oliviachaney

He will be playing at the Travelling Light private view in Venice on Sunday 7 June. For more info see www.albertogrollo.com
Explorations into the Known World, Venice 5 - 7 June 2009
This is a collaboration between artists Liz Sheridan and Cedric Christie, part of the Venice Biennale fringe on the weekend 5 - 7 June 2009. Sheridan intends to paddle the kayak round the canals of Venice to coincide with the opening events and will be mooring at the Travelling Light venue and joining us for a drink and a chat on Saturday 6 June around 2-3pm. Look out for her customised sea kayak, emblazoned with names of famous explorers disguised as corporate logos. Liz and her art kayak will go on to explore overlooked margins of the European continent. Find out more at www.explorationsintotheknownworld.blogspot.com/
Mireille Haddad
Florence-based Canadian research student Mireille Haddad is writing a thesis on the reception of Travelling Light by a chosen group of audiences both in London and at the Venice Biennale. The research looks at how different audiences make sense of the same artworks, especially in relation to the international scope of the exhibition. She successfully conducted a series of interviews with visitors in London and wishes to do the same in Venice. We alert our visitors to her presence at the Venice venue and ask you to assist her in her research. Thank you!
